Over the hills (and everywhere)

Oh thank god, someone showed up. I didn’t know what I was going to do with all these baby quiches.

So these are the new digs. There comes a time in every girl’s life when she has to pony up and stop letting her breasts do all the talking. You know? There is a certain perspective to be gained by complaining about yourself in the third person from the viewpoint of an appendage, but now I’m feeling particularly narcissistic. Or, you know, less like a nutbag whose twins write her blog. Plus, as Nikita pointed out, green is the new pink.

Anyway, how the hell are you? If you are not one of the nine people who read the Boo-blog, and actually found this site independently, no shit. And welcome. I’m very nice.

I wanted to start off with something ultra-impressive, but I think I’ll ease you in slowly. Actually, I’m starving. I need to go get some Pop Tarts but wanted to get this online before you all go home from work for the weekend. Expedience over excellence, that’s my motto. Well, one of them.

If you could be so kind as to stroke my fragile ego by leaving a comment, or sending me an email, or showing up at my house with a cheese steak and a bottle of champagne, that would be awesome. Until then, many wet kisses,
EV

p.s. Oh yeah! Change your links!

it’s very groovy over here at oovy net.
    :-)

    like the new digs.

  6. Okay I’ve had five beers, but yay for your new home! Green? Oh, yes please. You know how when you’ve had five beers and you shouldn’t be writing things down for eeveryone to see forever? Yeah. PS also I will change my links as soon as I have not had five beers.

correction: there are ten people that read your blog on a regular basis– i’m a long time reader, first time comment-er. go me. i think it was the two-tone green that inspired me to come out of the blog-reading-not-commenting closet. and for that, green just shouldn’t be underestimated.. ever again.
    ::congrats on the new home::

  8. Okay, so I’m new. The old page was called “Boob-log” or “Boo-Blog”? I’m afraid that’s some information I’m going to need.

Hard work = nice payoff! The site looks great. I would not take my chances with those donuts, however.

PS to Tron. Gimme a beer.

  11. Many thanks, you wonderful people!

JJ- you’re just going to have to be patient, it takes a long time for a pony to hatch.

    Tron- I love you.

Jettaces- so glad to have you out of the closet!

Kaycee- it was “Boo-blog”. So it wouldn’t be, you know, too obvious. I’m really fucking clever.

Court- are you implying that I spent a lot of time that I should have been doing other things working on this?

Anyway, thanks again. It turns out my boss has just dumped a bunch of crap on me so this weak introductory post is going to have to hold you over for a little while. Mwah!

  12. this is, without question, the most olive page i have ever visited.

  13. Bryan, that is, without question, the most neutral comment I’ve ever received. Would you like the pink back?

  14. of course, when i said “olive,” i meant “olive AND AWESOME!!!!!!” just like that with six !’s.

for some reason, tho, i can’t get your XML feed to work with my.yahoo.com. you’re the techno-expert — whaddup wit dat?

  15. oh please, i wouldn’t know the answer to that if you promised me all the quesadillas i could eat (but you probably knew that). i changed nothing related to the xml feed in the default MT template. but i’ll try to check it out later. (but aren’t you a doctoral candidate in computer science?)

  16. i am, and it turns out i’m retarded.

it works now, and i’m happy.

  17. Green may be the new pink, but “Pretty in Olive” just doesn’t work for me. The new site, however, does!

  18. What’s up with your categorization of my site? I’ve had you linked for ages.

  19. Oh Greggy, please don’t fret, the first category is people I’ve actually met in person, and you I have only seen in many mystical visions. Sorry for the misunderstanding, you know I had you linked for even more ages.

  20. Feh, that is a completely bigoted way of organizing your links–oh wait, I do that too.

  21. green is always to be preferred over pink, in fact every colour is to be preferred over pink – except maybe yellow…

  22. I think so.

  23. I think so.
