Slurp

*Last night I recorded some backing vocals (actually, it was the word “wading” approximately 700 times) for my friend/coworker Katie, which was superfun because I haven’t been into the studio in a while. The first time I asked her what kind of music she played, she said Spanish death metal, but that happily (and sort of unhappily) turned out to be not exactly accurate. Anyway, I hope to be doing more, and if you’re in New York you should come see her at Piano’s on the 16th.

*I just got the new Nine Inch Nails album, and I’m genuinely thrilled to report that Trent has not changed anything whatsoever about anything since 1989. (Update: I just listened to it again, and the vocals are produced a little differently. But, like, whatever.)

*In an effort to make the apartment suck less, we went on an Xtreme IKEA bender this weekend. I’m taking orders for my new line of custom jewelry made solely from allen wrenches. It’s going to be totally hot in Japan.
