Several weeks ago, I accepted an internship that I have been greatly looking forward to starting next week. Earlier today, I was informed that the person who offered me the job is no longer with the company. Had I been following the media news, I would have known that the individual in question was “laid off” two days after I last spoke with him, as part of a massive re-org. Had I been following the media news especially closely, I would have known this about him two months before I had my interview.
I still have the job, so it will be interesting to see what the office vibe is like. Heh.
